Get Low tells the story of the hermit Felix Bush, who resides in a small log hut on his large estate in the woods. A lot of gossip goes around town about his violent history and kids are afraid of him because of their belief that he’s the impersonation of the devil. Then all of a sudden he shows up in town trying to prepare his very own funeral. That’s when he meets some old acquaintances and his background is slowly being revealed.
An interesting character-driven movie that is even more interesting because of the logger and traditional americana wear. Bush (Robert Duval) has got some great worn-out cotton clothing and there are some real nice leather jackets around. And of course if Bill Murray is present, he’s dressed as a proper gentleman but in Get Low it might be even a little too slick.
