Borsalino (1970)

This movie is mere inspiration for your new hat to go with your suit or on how to fold your pocket squares. Of course the title already reveals that the Borsalino hat is the most profound present of all.

Jean-Paul Belmondo stars next to Alain Delon in this gangster epoch set in Marseille of the ’30s. It took me some effort to watch the whole movie because of the awful script and really some scenes were almost embarrassing. Thanks to Belmondo and especially the cool Delon with their different three-piece suits, scarfs, french berets, Borsalino hats, overcoats and trench-coats it’s still a flick worth watching.
